  • Modeling Method1. Rats were fasted before 8~12h, free drinking water. Intraperitoneal injection of 1% pentobarbital sodium 40mg/kg weight, lying on the back of the neck, make a 2~3cm incision, carefully separate the skin and muscles.
    2. Blunt dissection of the carotid artery in front of the neck muscle and lateral muscle gap and make a ligation of the carotid artery with a silk thread of 3-0. After suturing the skin from alcohol to disinfect the wound.

Model Evaluation

1. Observe the pupillary light reflex in rats after modeling for 1 months;
2. One months after operation, the rats were examined by color fundus photography and fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA) examination of the fundus of the eye;
3. The rats were sacrificed to obtain the retina and the changes of retinal structure were detected by transmission electron microscope.

SPSS software is used for statistical analysis, measurement data to mean ± standard deviation (x ±s), using t test and single factor analysis of variance for group comparison, P<0.05 indicates there was a significant difference, P<0.01 indicates there are very significant differences.
