Liver Mononuclear Cells (LMC) are located in the liver and perform vital functions for the innate and adaptive immune system. Primary LMC are a heterogeneous population of small lymphocytes, large granular lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes. Primary liver mononuclear cells can be utilized to study the innate and adaptive immune system. mononuclear cells represent a critical regulatory system during fibrogenesis and may become an appealing target for therapy.
