Doublecortin Domain Containing Protein 2 (DCDC2)
Doublecortin domain-containing protein 2 is a protein with two doublecortin peptide domains. This domain has been demonstrated to bind tubulin and enhance microtubule polymerization. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Reading Disability (RD), also referred to as developmental dyslexia.
Tumor antigens recognized by cytolytic T cells (CTLs) can be classified into 4 groups: shared tumor-specific antigens encoded by MAGE-type genes (e.g., MAGEA1) that are silent in most normal tissues and expressed in many tumors; differentiation antigens that are also expressed in normal cells; antigens resulting from tumor-specific point mutations; and antigens overexpressed in tumor cells.
