Ring Finger Protein 32 (RNF32)
RING finger protein 32 contains two RING ring finger motifs. This gene was found to be expressed during spermatogenesis, most likely in spermatocytes and/or in spermatids. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants exist, but their full length natures are not clear. The longest deduced protein contains 362 amino acids and has 2 RING-H2 domains separated by an IQ domain. It shares 76.6% amino acid identity with mouse Rnf32. Several RNF32 splice variants differ only in their untranslated first exons and encode identical proteins. Others are alternatively spliced in exons 3 and 4 and encode truncated proteins, including a 145-amino acid protein truncated within the first RING-H2 domain and a 210-amino acid protein with a frameshift within the first RING-H2 domain.
