Teduglutide is a glucagon-like peptide-2 (GLP2) analogue, it is a kind of medicine used for increasing intestinal absorption, thus was used as treatment for short bowel syndrome (SBS) patients older than 1 year, who depend on intravenous feeding to receive receive nutrition. While using this medicine, the risk of colon polyps and certain types of cancer may increase.
