Sulfamonomethoxine (SMM)

Sulfamonomethoxine is a sulfonamide and a member of benzenes, it's a long-acting sulfonamide veterinary antibiotic. Sulfamonomethoxine blocks the synthesis of folic acid by inhibiting synthetase of dihydropteroate. Sulfamethoxazole a sulfa antibacterial medication used in treating lung, skin, UTI, and gastrointestinal infections for animals. Sulfadimethoxine has been demonstrated under laboratory and field conditions to be effective against a variety of gram-positive and gram-negative, aerobic and anaerobic organisms.
