Fumonisins (FM)

Fumonisins is a mycotoxin, a water-soluble metabolite produced by Fusarium Moniliforme Sheld. It is a class of similar diester compounds composed of different polyhydric alcohols and glycerin. Fumonisins are a common contaminants in corn and corn products, and have acute toxicity and potential carcinogenicity to certain domestic animals, has become another research hotspot after aflatoxin. So far, fumonisins have been found in FA1, FA2, FB1, FB2, FB3, FB4, FC1, FC2, FC3, FC4 and FP1, of which FB1 is the main component.
