Vero African Green Monkey Kidney Cells (Vero)

Vero cell line is a continuous African green monkey kidney cell line that was originally derived from kidney epithelial cells of an African green monkey. Vero cells are commonly used in virology research as they are susceptible to a wide range of viruses, making them valuable for viral isolation, propagation, and vaccine production. Due to their origin from non-human primates, Vero cells are also utilized in the evaluation of potential zoonotic viruses that may pose a threat to human health.
