Dr. Gong gave a lecture regarding "fundamentals and applications in immunology" that all the employees benefited a great deal. In the lecture, he helped us revise the knowledge of innate immune cells and their features, comparing them to the adoptive immune system. He also emphasized the important role of dentritic cells in immune response and immune tolerance. Moreover, a brief introduction to some new helper T cells, including Th17, Th22, Tfh and Th9 cells, and their cytokines was given. Their functions are highlighted recently.
