Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) are usually used to make precise replication and amplification for target DNA by using thermally stable DNA polymerase, together with synthetic primer, deoxyribonucleoside triphosphates (dNTPs), suitable ion concentration, temperature and other conditions. It is highly specific, sensitive, fast and pocesses good repeatability. It can be used for aquiring genetic information from very small amount of samples In addition, PCR could also be used to perform site-directed mutation, gene splicing, gene quantitative or semi-quantitative analysis and a series of experiments.
